Profile of Jaco Strauss

Jaco Strauss was born in Randburg in Gauteng and grew up in Pretoria. He completed matric at Hoërskool Garsfontein and thereafter studied at the University of Pretoria.

After completing his articles Jaco spent 6 years at Versfeld’s attorneys in Midrand in their litigation department. He moved to Rooth & Wessels in 2003 and joined their litigation and debt collection department where he gained extensive experience in both High Court and Magistrates Court litigation on behalf of banks, commercial clients and correspondents. He joined the litigation department of Petzer Du Toit and Ramulifho in May 2009. He has been involved with and represented banks, parastatals, airlines as well as other large corporate clients with success in numerous matters. He also represents an international seed company locally in both their litigation and commercial matters. Jaco has a keen interest in aviation and aviation law. Jaco is married and has a son. He loves spending his free time with his family and friends, playing golf or scuba diving.
